Occupational Therapy (OT)

Occupational therapy focuses on developing the skills that will make your child feel confident and successful.

Speech Therapy (SLP)

If you answer "yes" to any of the following, an SLP can help:

  1. Does your child have unintelligible speech?
  2. Is your child over the age of 2 and non-verbal?
  3. Is your child unable to follow verbal directions?
  4. Does your child stutter?
  5. Does your child have difficulty with feeding?
  6. Does your child have difficulty pronouncing certain letter sounds?
  7. Doe your child have difficulty with reading comprehension?
  8. Does your child drool excessively?
  9. Does your child have tongue thrust? 
  10. Does your child have a language based learning disability?

Our Speech-Language Pathologists are experts in communication. They will perform a comprehensive evaluation and develop an individualized treatment plan for your child.

A Speech-Language Pathologist works on:

  • speech sounds

Physical Therapy (PT)

If you answer "yes" to any of the following, a PT can help:

  1. Does your child have difficulty sitting, crawling, and/or walking?
  2. Does your child have difficulty running, jumping, and/or climbing stairs?
  3. Does your child have low muscle tone?
  4. Does your child have poor coordination and balance?
  5. Is your child clumsy or uncoordinated? 
  6. Does your child have weak muscles?                                                                  
  7. Does your child have difficulty catching and throwing a ball or with eye hand coordination tasks?

Our physical therapists specialize in the evaluation and treatment gross motor skills. 

Conditions that Physical Therapists treat:

Common questions

School-based therapy addresses issues that impact academic and classroom performance, whereas outpatient or medically- based therapy addresses issues that impact quality of life, home, and community based issues. There can be overlap in goals since children spend most of their time in school.

Yes, an evaluation is required to determine if services are recommended, determine baseline data, frequency of services, and to establish goals and objectives for treatment. We offer both formal and informal evaluations. 

Length of therapy varies for each child and his/her needs. Following the evaluation, your child’s therapist will determine an initial length of treatment and re-evaluate your child’s needs at regular intervals.

Sensory processing refers to the way we register, interpret, process, and respond to sensory information from the environment. It is a foundational skill which forms the basis for new and higher level skill acquisition. Occupational therapists specialize in evaluating and treating individual with sensory processing concerns.
